This bulletin applies to 2005-2008 Nissan Frontier models equipped with the QR25DE engine, and built before July 12, 2006. The issue may involve a ticking noise that sounds like spark knock, when accelerating 1/8 to 1/2 throttle opening.

If you confirm that the problem is not spark knock, install a new exhaust manifold, as the original manifold may be cracked or warped. Install with all new gaskets and fasteners.
