Sealing the Mini
This bulletin applies to sealing the differential cover on 2013 Mini Cooper S models.
The differential cover requires a liquid sealer. BMW advises the use of Loctite Sealer 5970, available at parts stores or through BMW under P/N 39246.
An unopened tube of sealer has a shelf life of six months, so BMW recommends ordering the sealer on a case-by-case basis only.
