Kia advises not to re-use any lock nuts when removed from power steering, front or rear suspension or engine sub-frame assembly on all Kia products.

Re-use of lock nuts may not provide proper locking force. All lock nuts, once removed, must be discarded and replaced with a new lock nut. This applies to all styles of locking nuts featured on Kia vehicles.
