Upon further investigation, the technician may find DTC P2122 (accelerator pedal position sensor 1 circuit low) and/or P2127 (accelerator pedal position sensor 2 circuit low). This condition could be caused by the wiring to the APP sensor being held too tight, causing the wiring to become loose (excessive strain on the harness).

Using a scan tool (wiTECH or StartMOBILE) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that the adjustable pedal system is functioning as designed. If DTCs are present other than the ones listed above, record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding with this bulletin.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Gain access to the APP sensor.

2. Locate the push pin wire harness clip next to the APP sensor.

3. Using a pry tool, remove the push pin clip.
