Twenty-four students from the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), are serving as interpreters during the 2013 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX). The students are on hand to assist attendees and exhibitors with Cantonese, Mandarin, Teochew, Korean, Taiwanese, Japanese, French, Spanish and Portuguese. AAPEX opened Tuesday, Nov. 5 and runs through Thursday, Nov. 7 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

AAPEX draws attendees and exhibitors from around the world, and in 2012, more than 130 countries were represented at the event. In addition to the UNLV student interpreters, AAPEX provides an International Buyer Center for visitors and official buying delegations, complete with translators, staff to answer questions and private meeting rooms.

The 2013 AAPEX features nearly 2,400 exhibitors, 5,000 booths and a Learning Forum with approximately 40 complimentary education sessions on the latest industry trends and technologies. The event also includes a designated Remanufacturing Section, a Tool and Equipment Section and the International Heat Transfer Association (NARSA) Heat Transfer and Mobile AC Pavilion. Attendees who take advantage of all the resources at this year’s event will grow their business at AAPEX.
