This fall Keen Utility introduces a collection of safety styles rich in performance and comfort features and ready to stand up to winter work. New silhouettes offer outdoor inspired design with unparalleled comfort and protection. Fall also brings new additions to the expanding American Built collection of footwear assembled with pride in Portland, Oregon using the finest materials from around the world.

“Each season our challenge is to continually innovate and inspire, bringing the next generation of safety footwear to workers everywhere,” said Mark Reilly, Keen Utility Division Director. “By expanding our American Built offerings we are able to build a stronger community here in Portland while remaining incredibly hands-on during development and production. The result is a collection of boots that really stand apart on the shelf and in the field while complementing the other new and fan favorite styles in our Fall collection.”

The Mt. Vernon: American Built and Full-Featured 

Outdoor-inspired and available in both six- and eight-inch silhouettes, the Mt. Vernon delivers sturdy construction and superior protection. Crafted from supple waterproof full-grain leather the boot features a KEEN.DRY waterproof, breathable membrane together with a Hydrophobic/Hydrophilic 2-Zone Comfort lining delivering superior ventilation while keeping feet dry all day long. An oil and slip-resistant non-marking rubber outsole features channels that divert water, improve stability and meet Mark II Non-Slip testing standards. Left and right asymmetrical steel toes help to protect the delicate bones of the feet from crush and impact injuries and meet ASTM EH Standards. Built with pride in Portland, Oregon, the Mt. Vernon features a unique direct attach PU Midsole delivering durable and long-lasting comfort with less compacting over time. Locking metal lace hooks, a removable metatomical dual-density EVA footbed and TPU shank for midfoot support round out this durable work boot ready for a variety of work applications and environments.

The Minot: Insulated and Ready to Work

Winter weather is no match for the Minot Insulated. Standing up to whatever Mother Nature brings to the winter job site, the Minot features 600G of KEEN.WARM Insulation and a Thermal Heat Shield Footbed, keeping the cold at bay. An oil-and slip-resistant non-marking cold weather rubber compound outsole provides stability and sure footing in slick or icy conditions. Crafted with Nubuck waterproof leather, the Minot features a Keen. Dry Waterproof breathable membrane and 2-Zone Hydrophobic/Hydrophilic Comfort lining keeping moisture out and feet warm and dry. Abrasion-resistant Tough-Tec Leather provides improved durability while the unique Keen. Utility left and right asymmetrical steel toes offer contoured and comfortable toe protection, meeting ASTM EH Standards.

The Durham: Sporty Style Meets Lightweight Protection

The athletic styling of the Durham AT ESD offers indoor industrial and manufacturing workers a safety style that transitions seamlessly from work to weekend. Incredibly lightweight and extremely versatile, the low-profile boot is crafted from tightly woven and durable nylon mesh with PU reinforced webbing for added support. Electro-static dissipative to reduce excess static-electricity, the Durham features an oil and slip-resistant non-marking rubber outsole, providing excellent anti-slip properties and satisfying Mark II Non-Slip Testing Standards. Lightweight but not light on protection, the boot features left and right asymmetrical aluminum safety toes meeting ASTM SD Standards. Available in three unique colorways, the Durham brings a casual design to a work boot that’s all business.
