Q: How did the tool/equipment function as far as saving you time?
A: This set has saved me time by making it possible to remove bolts in tighter spaces by using a wrench in conjunction with rather than removing other parts to make room for a ratchet or longer socket. The RPT technology will really help with the removal of damaged bolts saving a lot of time.
Q: How has using this tool impacted your shop's profitability?
A: I have benefited from the short socket length with the ability to use a wrench in tight spaces. The sockets grip in damaged fasteners further speed up repairs saving time allowing me to move on to the next paying job faster.
Q: What kind of setup was involved before using the product?
A: Just open the box and it was ready to go.
Q: How easy was it to use?
A: Easy as can be. Just make sure the tip is all the way in the fastener. It is a hand tool only. Not for impact use.
Q: How was its packaging? Did it come with any accessories?
A: The set came packaged in an illustrated box.
Q: Was there a manual included? If so, did you use the manual, and was the manual easy to understand?
A: There was no manual per say. The box had any info printed on it you might have a question about. It also has a QR code that will take you to their site.
Q: What features did you like?
A: I like having the option to use a ratchet or a wrench on the sockets. What I like best besides the RPT technology is that even though the sockets are a really short socket the length was not taken from the tip end so it still has the reach to get into a blind hole.
Q: Is there any way you could think to improve or add to this tool?
A: No. I’m very happy with the tools the way they are so far.
Q: What types of jobs/repairs did you use this tool for?
A: I used them on a VW intake and header that someone had replaced most of the bolts with “fancy” chrome hex bolts and stripped half of them out. They were a lifesaver.
Q: Have you used a previous version of this tool? If so, what are some new features compared to the old version? How does this tool compare to others tools you've used like it?
A: These are the first set of RPT sockets I’ve used. I really liked them and plan on purchasing more for my toolbox.
Q: Is there anything you had questions or concerns about in regard to this tool?
A: No. Pretty straightforward.
Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this tool overall? Why?
A: Ten. They worked great. I wish I had them years ago. They will save so much money and aggravation in the long run how could they not be a 10? Great job, GripEdge.
