Q: How did the tool function as far as saving you time?
A: Having such a comprehensive hex and Torx bit set is a time saver. The Carbyne Tools 80-pc Torx Hex Bit Socket Set has it all and they are conveniently located in one blow-molded case.
Q: How has this tool impacted your shop's profitability?
A: Not having to search through several different sets to find what we need saves a lot of time which increases productivity and profitability.
Q: What kind of setup was involved before using the product?
A: There's no setup needed outside of opening the package.
Q: How easy was it to use?
A: This set was very easy to use. As easy as any socket but the organization that the case offers makes it even easier to use.
Q: How was its packaging? Did it come with any accessories?
A: The set includes just about every hex and Torx socket that you would ever need. It comes in a blow molded case with a foam insert to keep the sockets from falling out of their places when transferring the case from the job to the shelf or toolbox. There was also a "Thank you" card which is a nice touch.
Q: Was there a manual included?
A: No manual is included, and no manual is needed.
Q: What features did you like?
A: I like how comprehensive the set is. I have been a professional technician for a long time. I have a lot of hex and Torx sockets but this kit includes several sizes that I didn’t have before. I like the organization that the blow-molded case offers. It makes it easy to find what you need very quickly. The short or stubby hex and Torx bits can be used with either a ratchet, socket, or wrench. This flexibility allows for a more low-profile approach when working in tight spaces.
Q: What types of jobs/repairs did you use this tool for?
A: We used this kit for brake replacement services and removing underhood and undercar panels for undercar and underhood work. We also removed and reinstalled drain and fill bolts for fluid exchange services.
Q: Have you used a previous version of this tool? How does it compare to other tools you've used like it?
A: I have used hex and Torx sockets for nearly three decades. There are way more size options in this set than any other that I've seen or owned. As mentioned earlier, the sheer size and organization of this kit is what sets it apart from the others.
Q: Is there anything you had questions or concerns about in regards to this tool?
A: I'd like to know if they sell extended-length hex and Torx sockets.
Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this tool overall?
A: I rate it an eight only because any warranty claims would be less convenient than a similar tool purchased off a tool truck, and I'm a fan of American-made tools.
