Q: How did the tool function as far as saving you time?
A: Most of my cordless electric screwdrivers are of the screw gun variety. When out in the open, you may gravitate to a gun style, but in more tight quarters, like under a dash or in a crowded area, this can sneak in. You don’t need to find and aim a light either, as the LED on this thing is pretty well placed and bright.
Q: What kind of setup was involved before using the product?
A: You may wish to top off the battery. Luckily, while they of course have a charging cord in the kit, it uses USB-C, so those cables are all over a shop anyway.
Q: How easy was it to use?
A: Cake. Absolute cake. It has a forward and reverse rocker switch that you will most likely actuate with your thumb or perhaps index finger.
Q: How was its packaging? Did it come with any accessories?
A: It comes in a very nice latching case with a fair complement of bits, like flat head, Phillips head, Torx, and Allen head bits. The bits are all the typical 1/4” variety, so anything you already have will also work. There are also a couple of adapters to 1/4” drive for sockets.
Q: Was there a manual included?
A: Yes, there was a manual. It is arguably on the more difficult side to navigate, but really…who reads directions anyway?
Q: What features did you like?
A: The bright LED, the fact that it uses USB-C, and the reversing rocker switch. The size of the tool helps make it more useful as well. Older driver style cordless screwdrivers were fairly large, whereas this is sized very appropriately. The majority of the body sits in the palm of your hand.
Q: What types of jobs/repairs did you use this tool for?
A: Mainly interior/dash type of work.
Q: Have you used a previous version of this tool? If so, what are some new features compared to the old version?
A: I used to have some driver-type cordless screwdrivers. This puts them all to shame.
Q: Is there any way you could think to improve or add to this tool?
A: I know I’m going to contradict myself: The rocker switch. I feel they could have made it slightly more elevated or easier to actuate. Not that it's hard to use, but it can get a bit uncomfortable, especially after sustained use.
Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this tool overall? Why?
A: Eight. The rocker switch issue, and cordless drivers can use more torque.
