Ventus V12 evo tire to be supplied in 18" and 19" sizes

Hankook Tire, the seventh-largest and one of the fastest growing tire companies in the world, announced an agreement to supply the new Lincoln MKZ midsize sedan with its Ultra High Performance Ventus V12 evo tire in sizes 245/45ZR18 and 245/40ZR19.  The 18" size will be used for vehicles built for both the United States and export markets, while the 19" size will find use on vehicles built for export markets.  These fitments provide further penetration into the Lincoln brand for Hankook, which already supplies 19" and 20" OE tire fitments for the Lincoln MKT three-row crossover.

"Hankook is truly excited to supply one of the most anticipated cars of 2013, the new Lincoln MKZ.  The partnership forged with Ford and Lincoln is now into its third decade and growing.  We're thrilled and humbled to be selected to supply the MKZ," said Byungil Woo, Vice President, Hankook Tire Global OE Division. "It's a testament to the quality of products in Hankook's line up. We received the award after satisfying all criteria for testing – the results being another perfect fit for the Lincoln MKZ."

This original equipment tire agreement marks a milestone for Hankook as it is the company's first time supplying 18- and 19-inch UHP tires to a luxury North American sedan.

"Hankook's OE business is growing based on the recognition of our tire's quality and brand value," said Soo Il Lee, President, Hankook Tire America Corp.  "This agreement is a great addition to Hankook's OE portfolio and we look forward to working in partnership in the future with the world's leading car manufacturers."

Hankook Tire was recently recognized with a World Excellence Award as an outstanding global supplier by the Ford Motor Company.  The award honors suppliers that have aligned themselves with the values and operating practices of Ford while reaching the highest quality, technology and delivery performance.  This marked the third time since 2005 that Hankook Tire has received this distinction from Ford.
