The Timken Company announced additions to its online training and information about wheel-ends for heavy duty trucks. These enhancements, found at www.connect.timken.com, include new animated videos to help technicians improve bearing performance.

The company also released three new Heavy-Duty TechTips topical pieces on correct bearing-fitting practices, proper installation of bearing components, and proper lubrication-filling procedures.

In addition to the new training and materials, the website provides a library of TechTips focused on proper wheel-end installation, maintenance and repair, several videos on installation and damage analysis as well as discussion boards where technicians can go for information. Combined with Timken's award winning Tech Series online training program, technicians can get training and product support necessary to maximize equipment performance.

"We're thankful to our customers and distributors that have given the training Timken provides high marks for focusing on what is important to them, and that is why we'll continue to invest in additional training resources," said Barry Harris, Timken's global manager of strategy, marketing and cataloging. "Over the last two years, our sales team also has conducted on-site training for more than 7,000 maintenance personnel. That hands-on approach works well as we expand our service offering online."
