Dec. 29, 2021

This bulletin applies to 2014-2015 Honda Accord Hybrid and 2014 Accord Plug-In vehicles.

This bulletin applies to 2014-2015 Honda Accord Hybrid and 2014 Accord Plug-In vehicles. The warning light may be on, with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P100C (electric variable timing control (VTC) motor speed signal circuit malfunction) and P0010 (VTC malfunction). The VTC control software generates a false detection on DTC P100C and P0010. This requires updating the PGM-Fi software.

Before beginning the repair, make sure that both the HDS and MVCI are updated (application version 3.01.50 or later; HDS software version 3.018.013 or later).

Check that the MVCI indicates the applicable program ID (or later program ID) as the available update when the update begins.
