Ford Escape May Exhibit Powertrain Malfunction

 

Some 2017-2018 Ford Escape vehicles equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine and built on or before Jan. 1, 2018, may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator. 

Some 2017-2018 Ford Escape vehicles equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine and built on or before Jan. 1, 2018, may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator. 

DTC P061E may be stored in the PCM. If so, reprogram the PCM using the appropriate Ford scan tool release 110.01 or higher. 

Make sure that you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates.
