The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) has released its 2026 Lifting Points Guide, Vehicle Lifting Points for Frame Engaging Lifts. This guide, updated annually by MOTOR Information Systems for ALI, offers OEM-recommended lifting points for most cars, SUVs, vans, and light trucks sold in the U.S. and Canada from 2000 through 2026.

Most lifting points aren't marked on the vehicle and can change from model year to model year. This guide aims to bring together lifting points from across manufacturers in a quick-reference source. Updates made between editions of the guide can be found in the ALI Newsroom at autolift.org.

Available both in print and digital formats, with a combo package of both offered. Each digital purchase provides online access on up to three devices.

A word from ALI

“When you’re using a two-post lift or another frame-engaging lift, your safety depends on properly picking up the vehicle,” says R.W. O’Gorman, ALI president. “That means using the right lift with the appropriate adapters positioned as directed by the vehicle manufacturer. Our Lifting Point Guide illustrates where to place the adapters and includes any additional guidance provided by the OEM for specific vehicles.”
