A "fix-it-yourself" repair shop

Aug. 31, 2023
This unconventional auto repair shop supplies the tools, equipment, and space for vehicle owners to fix their cars themselves.

U Turn Garage, located in Pocatello, Idaho, is taking DIY (do-it-yourself) to the next level in the automotive repair industry.

The newly-opened shop, owned by Barry Marshall and Jesse Maple, provides vehicle owners with the needed tools to fix their cars themselves, according to EastIdahoNews.com

The idea came about after Marshall and Maple connected through the Pocatello Car Club Facebook group.

Marshall recently returned from being deployed in Iraq for two years - while there, he worked on vehicles in DIY shops on military bases. Maple worked at various repair shops in the area and recently started a mobile repair service, which he still operates.

The two men shared the same vision and once they found an available space, they jumped on it.

The air-conditioned shop is fully equipped with tools and equipment needed, including a lift.

To book an appointment, customers simply go to their website and choose a date and time that works in their schedule.

If they need parts for their vehicle, they can get them delivered right to the shop. If they need a part while working on their vehicle, it can be delivered to the shop at a discounted rate, as long as it’s before 5 p.m., the news release stated.
