NHRA World Champion Jason Line appears in DENSO spark plug commercial

NHRA Pro Stock World Champion Jason Line championed the DENSO Iridium spark plugs in a 30-second ad that aired March 31 on Fox Sports 1 and ran throughout the weekend.

When the DENSO Spark Plugs NHRA Nationals kick off in Las Vegas, they will include the TV commercial debut of Pro Stock World Champion Jason Line championing DENSO Iridium spark plugs.

Line marked a career first in DENSO’s new 30-second ad that aired March 31 on Fox Sports 1 and runs throughout the weekend. After decades in professional racing and multiple wins, the Pro Stock champ raced the entire 2016 entire season without a single spark plug failure after switching to DENSO Iridium spark plugs.

“Jason Line is vouching for the superior quality, reliability and power of DENSO Iridium spark plugs,” said David H. Williams, director of Original Equipment Sales, Marketing and Strategic Planning at DENSO Products and Services Americas, an affiliate of leading global automotive supplier DENSO Corp. “He clinched the 2016 championship riding on DENSO.”

The weekend races mark the second consecutive year DENSO is the title sponsor of the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals. DENSO is also a supporting sponsor of all 24 races in the 2017 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.

Line is a member of the KB Racing Team, which DENSO sponsors as well. Other drivers racing on DENSO Iridium spark plugs include Line’s teammates, Pro Stock drivers Greg Anderson and Bo Butner. Anderson finished second overall in the 2016 series, and Butner finished fourth.

DENSO Iridium spark plugs will be a force on the track throughout the 2017 series. Fans will find DENSO’s full line of spark plugs at Nitro Alley, the midway where they can learn more about and purchase DENSO plugs at every race.

Additionally, NHRA social media platforms will feature DENSO posts throughout the weekend. DENSO will post its own race and product updates on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube all season long.
