Jeep Grand Cherokee Struggles to Seal the Deal

This bulletin applies to 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles, involving replacing the evaporative emissions purge valve hose due to a split in the hose that will prevent the system from sealing.

This bulletin applies to 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles, involving replacing the evaporative emissions purge valve hose due to a split in the hose that will prevent the system from sealing. The customer may experience a MIL on. The technician may find DTC P0455 (EVAP system Large Leak) or P0456 (EVAP system Small Leak) stored in the PCM memory.

Inspect the purge valve hose for any splits/damage. Replace is damage is found.

Replacement purge valve hoses are available as follows:

For 5.7L engine.........68189065ADFor 3.6L engine.........68189075AE
