AkzoNobel's Jessica Rob and Michelle Sullivan appointed to Women's Industry Network Board

Board members may serve up to two three-year terms and represent a variety of industry segments including collision repair shops, jobbers, suppliers, consultants, information providers and insurance companies.

AkzoNobel’s Jessica Rob, Communications Manager and Online Web Communications, has been selected as one of five new members to join the Women’s Industry Network (WIN) Board of Directors. She will be introduced and officially welcomed by seated Directors and WIN members at-large at the 2014 Educational Conference, Power Up, on May 5-7 at Paradise Point in San Diego, CA. 

The WIN Board currently consists of 12 sitting members, including Michelle Sullivan, AkzoNobel’s Distribution Key Account Manager. Sullivan began her first term on the WIN Board in 2013. Board members may serve up to two three-year terms and represent a variety of industry segments including collision repair shops, jobbers, suppliers, consultants, information providers and insurance companies. Together, they are committed to advancing the organization’s objectives which focus on an encouraging environment of education, recruitment, retention and networking of women in the collision repair industry.

Rob commented, "I am very pleased to have been selected for this board position with WIN. I’ve participated as an organization member for several years and have been very impressed with not only the enthusiastic growth of its membership, but in how it is helping to shape and influence the role of women in collision repair. To now be a part of WIN’s decision-making process is a real honor."

WIN was established by a visionary group of collision repair professionals in 2006; some of whom were early award recipients of the ground-breaking Most Influential Women (MIW) Award and Scholarship Fund created by AkzoNobel in 1998. MIW was developed in order to recognize the value of strong leaders and roles filled by women at all levels within the collision repair industry. In that same spirit of pioneering leadership, WIN acquired stewardship of the MIW program in 2013 and will continue to perpetuate the MIW Award and Scholarship program at their annual member conference. 

Sullivan adds, "The WIN Board is delighted to welcome Jessica as one of our new members. Her unique talents and dedication will be a real asset in championing WIN’s mission. I’ve certainly enjoyed serving this remarkable organization and believe the board’s broad industry representation has been a key factor in its ongoing appeal and impact."
