Candidates sought for 10th Akzo Nobel Most Influential Women Awards
NORCROSS, Ga. — Akzo Nobel is now accepting nominations for the 10th anniversary of the Most Influential Women in the Collision Repair Industry awards which takes place during the International Automotive Congress and Exposition (NACE) Nov. 5-8, 2008, in Las Vegas. “Akzo Nobel is pleased to have been able to pioneer this effort in the collision repair industry and set an example for others to follow,” says Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes North American Director of Marketing, Tim Loden. “This is an important milestone for the program, Akzo Nobel and the industry. We have celebrated the accomplishments of many talented leaders over the past ten years and we look forward to continuing the tradition for many more.” Elainna Sacchire, president and owner of Square One Systems, was one of the five industry leaders honored last year. She believes the opportunities for women in the industry are unlimited. “Many women have a gift for building relationships and relating to customers,” Sacchire says. “Many excel at handling the details of estimating and running a business, while others are skilled technically. We can be proud of what we can accomplish and encourage others to succeed.” The company will also award an annual scholarship again this year, in conjunction with the I-CAR Education Foundation, in the name of the Most Influential Women. The funds will be used for prospective female students pursuing a career in the collision repair industry. To place a nomination visit www.AkzoNobelCarRefinishes.net.
