AutoZone celebrated the opening of its 8,000th store in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, reaffirming its commitment to providing automotive parts and accessories at competitive prices. The milestone marks 47 years of steady growth for the leading retailer and distributor, reflecting AutoZone's expansion from a single store opened July 4, 1979, in Forrest City, Arkansas, to 8,000 locations across the Americas.

The new Murfreesboro store will provide local drivers and commercial businesses with convenient access to thousands of automotive replacement parts and maintenance items. AutoZone will offer its signature services at this location, including free battery testing and charging, Fix Finder® diagnostic services, and the Loan-A-Tool program.

AutoZone hosted a grand opening ceremony featuring an official ribbon-cutting with company leaders, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, and Senator Marsha Blackburn. Originally opened in 1979 as Auto Shack by J.R. "Pitt" Hyde III, AutoZone has a long history of serving its customers and communities.
