Counterfeit parts are a scourge on the automotive aftermarket that present a danger to the safety of the motoring public and an economic threat to the legitimate aftermarket manufacturers.

Counterfeit parts enter the automotive aftermarket supply chain though a variety of ways. Slowing the increase of counterfeit parts will take a joint effort from the entire aftermarket.
