The strong turnout for the two-in-one show last year left hundreds of exhibitors disappointed with insufficient venue space at the Nankang Hall. In remedy, 300 additional booths were added this year at a second location — the TWTC Exhibition Hall.

TAIPEI AMPA and AutoTronics Taipei coincide with the 2012 Motorcycle Taiwan (the 7th Taiwan International Motorcycle Show) and the 2012 EV Taiwan (the 2nd Taiwan International Electric Vehicles Show) that unfold April 12-15 at TWTC Hall and focus on hybrid vehicles, electric motorcycles, battery, battery-driven electric vehicles, imported motorcycles and related components.

With 1,400 exhibitors registered and 3,600 booths installed, the four shows will be Asia's largest venue for the automotive, auto electronics, motorcycle and green vehicle industries.

This dual-format show is known for product variety, with many well-known local exhibitors attending this year; while nearly 170 international exhibitors from Japan, the U.S., South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia and China have also registered for the event.

Record overseas buyers
This year's TAIPEI AMPA and AutoTronics Taiwan has attracted more than 5,000 registered overseas buyers, among them representatives from companies with an annual revenue of more than $50 million, such as Michelin UK, BMW Germany, Mitsubishi Philippines, Volkswagen Group Malaysia, Behr GMBH of Germany, FAW Auto Group Parts of China, Valeo France, Lordco Parts of Canada, Leopold Kostal GMBH of Germany, Wabco Fahrzeugsysteme GMBH, Hama GMBH, Nissin Automobile and Radec S.A. of Mexico, among others. TAITRA has organized one-on-one trade meetings to create more lucrative business opportunities for buyers and exhibitors.

Show highlights
The shows offer a vast selection of energy-saving LED automotive lights, new materials, the latest in engine parts, suspensions, transmissions, brakes, tire pressure monitoring systems, maintenance equipment, pneumatic tools, tires and rims and automotive accessories.

More variety is expected this year with four new exhibition areas, including "Tuning & Restyling," "Engine Parts," "Chassis Systems," and "Automobile Frames & Parts." These are in addition to the original areas of "Auto Parts," "Auto Accessories," "Tuning & Equipment," "Repair & Maintenance," "Automobile Electronics Products," "Automobile Electronics Components & Parts" and "Foreign Products Area."
