Improving business efficiencies is one reason behind DENSO Corporation's recently announced consolidation of DENSO Tokyo Corporation and Osawa Inc., which are both 100 percent owned by DENSO. DENSO Tokyo is responsible for aftermarket sales and services for the Kanto region in Japan, and Osawa Inc. markets automotive aftermarket products, including wipers. The consolidated company will be called DENSO Tokyo.

"By consolidating the two companies, we aim to provide better and faster service to the market," said Kenji Ohya, senior managing director in charge of DENSO Corporation's Sales Group.

In Japan, DENSO has eight regional sales companies, including DENSO Tokyo, and Osawa has eight sales offices. With the consolidation, DENSO Tokyo will assign the operations of Osawa's sales offices to DENSO's regional sales companies in each region.
