The DENSO North American Foundation is donating $5,000 to benefit victims of the recent tornado in Parkersburg, Iowa — miles from the site of the company’s distribution center.
“We hope we can help some of the families, businesses and communities recover from this devastation,” says Haruya “Harry” Maruyama, president and CEO of DENSO International America.
The May 25 tornado hit Parkersburg and surrounding towns. Waterloo, Iowa — 30 miles from Parkersburg — is home to the DENSO International America’s Distribution and Service Center.
A leading supplier of advanced automotive technology, systems and components for all the world’s major automakers, DENSO will donate the funds to the American Red Cross Hawkeye Chaper in Waterloo.
