This bulletin applies to 2024 GMC Hummer EV and Hummer EV SUV vehicles, Rear steering may be inoperable with DTC U3000 symptom byte 49 and U1962 or U1961 with symptom byte 92. No warning message may be displayed, Suo Cruise operation will be disabled and the steering wheel could be off center.

The cause: After vehicle wide programming, serial data authentication (SDAC) does not run, causing the codes to set in the K92. Perform the battery negative cable disconnection and connection procedure outlined in the service manual.

Wait 30 minutes, then perform SDAC immediately after reconnecting the 12V negative cable. If this fails, repeat running SDAC for a total of 3 times. If after the 3^rd attempt it still has not passed, contact Techline (800-828-6860) and request a VCI# for the K92.
