This bulletin applies to 2024-2025 Mexico-built CX-30 vehicles built before September 5, 2025, 2024-2025 CX-5’s built before September 5, 2025, 2024-2025 CX-50’s built before September 5, 2025, 2024-2025 Mazda3 (Japan built) produced before September 5, 2025 and 2023-2025 Mazda3 vehicles built before August 18, 2025.
Some vehicles may exhibit a check engine light on with DTC P20F8:00 stored (swirl control circuit range/performance problem). The DTC is caused by overheating of the swirl control valve (SCV) motor which leads to duty limitation, causing poor opening angle response and resulting in a stuck condition. The eliminate the concern, the PCM control software has been modified. Reprogram the PCM.
