Owners of 2023 Dodge Hornet vehicles equipped with PLGM (power liftgate module) may experience a MIL on with DTC B1004-01 (rear closing lock trunk button, general electrical failure) and/or B1014-64 (latch switch information – signal plausibility failure). The cause involves PLGM software. Update the PLGM with the latest software. Note that the vehicle must not be connected to a high voltage charger when performing software updates.

Caution: Removal of the brake booster vacuum pump’s 30 amp fuse is necessary. Failure to remove the fuse can damage the vacuum pump.

Remove the 30 amp fuse for the brake booster vacuum pump from the power distribution center in the engine bay. Reprogram the PLGM. Reinstall the 30 amp fuse. Clear any DTCs.
