TSB: Hummer EV eTrunk

This bulletin applies to 2022-2025 GMC Hummer EV and 2024-2025 Hummer EV SUV vehicles. Equipped with Power  Hood Control.

Some customers may comment on a “Hood Ajar” message. DTCs may include B1C8D, B1C8C, B1C80, B1C81 and or P257F.

The cause of the condition may be that the eTrunk has lost its learned position due to a software anomaly with the K241 powertrain compartment cover module. Program a vehicle-wide programming event to update the K241 module with the most recent software.
