TSB: Jeep Gladiator O2 Sensor
Jeep Gladiator O2 Sensor
This bulletin applies to 2023 Jeep Gladiator vehicles built on or after October 15, 2023 and on or before January 6, 2024, equipped with a 3.0L V6 turbo engine.
The MIL may be on with DTC P026D (fuel injection quantity higher than expected), P0133 (O2 sensor 1/1 slow response) and/or P2297 (O2 sensor out of range during deceleration Bank 1 Sensor 1).
The cause: sensor malfunction.
- Complete a road test to see if O2 adaptation is completed in 5-10 miles. Highway speeds need to be reached after full warm-up.
- Perform a 10-second (no throttle coast down from 70 mph to 40 mph. This allows the ECU to run the plausibility check of the O2 sensor.
- Check the status of the O2 sensor adaptation . Using WiTech, check the Lambda sensor value. If the value reads 0.0244 14062 this indicates that the O2 sensor did not complete plausibility road test and needs to be repeated.
- If sensor value is between 0.02442 and 0.02827, the sensor is not at fault.
- If sensor value is above 0.0282, the sensor must be replaced.
- After replacing the sensor, run the wiTech routine “O2 sensor replace” in the PCM.
