Some Mazda vehicles (2016-2022 Mazda2, 2019-2022 Mazda3, 2019-2021 Mazda6, 2016-2022 CX-3, 2020-2022 CX-30, 2017-2020 CX-5 and 2021 CX-5 (with 8” or 10.25” center display) may exhibit accumulation of dried coolant around the water pipe. This is caused by a gap between the housing and pipe due to a press fitting during manufacturing. The accumulated coolant is solidified and plugs the gap in a high temperature environment, stopping the seepage. This is normal. Simply clean off the dried coolant from around the water pipe with a wire brush.
