This bulletin applies to 2019-2023 Audi A6 and A7, 2020-2023 A6 allroad, S6 and S7, and 2021-2023 RS 6 Avant, A7 e quattro and RS 7 vehicles. A noise from the rear of the vehicle may be heard when the suspension compresses. The coil spring on the rear axle may be making contact with the spring control arm or the track rod. The spring may not be centrally seated in the mounting. The transition point of the coil spring is out of tolerance.
Check the coil spring, spring control arm and track rod for signs of abrasion. If abrasion is found, replace the components affected and the spring plates (top and bottom). Proceed with wheel alignment. According to Audi, only replace components on the affected side.
