This bulletin applies to 2019-2021 Kia Sedona vehicles equipped with a 3.3L engine. The fuel control valve (FCV) plunger in the vehicle’s high-pressure fuel pump may wear unevenly.

Over time, it may be stuck in the open position.

If this occurs, you may experience rough running, hesitation and/or a MIL on. In rare cases, the engine may shut off while the vehicle is at a stop, although it can be restarted in neutral or park. DTC P0088 (fuel rail/system pressure too high) may be stored. Replace the high pressure fuel pump. Mounting bolt torque is 9.4 – 10.9 ft-lb. Do not re-use the old high pressure fuel pump bolts or fuel pipe.
