1) Badly bowed coil spring; 2) coil spring touching/too close to the jounce cup.
This bulletin applies to 2020 Jeep Gladiator vehicles built on or after Sept. 27, 2019, and on or before Oct. 12, 2019.
Loud scraping, bumping or clunk noises may be heard when going over bumps. First, check coil springs to make sure each is fully seated in position.
Using a 5mm hex wrench (Allen wrench) as a gauge, inspect the front coil springs for bows between the fourth and fifth coil from the bottom, at curb height. Insert the hex wrench between the bow and the jounce cup. The wrench should be able to pass completely around the coil spring bow without touching the jounce cup. If clearance is inadequate, replace the coil spring with P/N 68341325AB.
