Replace Ford Coast Clutch Assembly

Some 2009-2016 Ford E-Series, F-Super Duty, 2009-2015 F-53 Motorhome and 2011-2015 F-59 Stripped Chassis vehicles equipped with a TorqShift transmission may exhibit a MIL on with DTCs P0751, P0730 and/or P2700.

Replace the coast clutch cylinder and coast one-way clutch (OWC) mechanical diode assembly.

Some 2009-2016 Ford E-Series, F-Super Duty, 2009-2015 F-53 Motorhome and 2011-2015 F-59 Stripped Chassis vehicles equipped with a TorqShift transmission built on or before Dec. 15, 2015, may exhibit a MIL on with DTCs P0751, P0730 and/or P2700.

1. Connect a scan tool to the DLC and check if the afore-mentioned DTCs are stored. If so, proceed to step two.

2. Check the transmission build date. If built on or before the afore-mentioned date, remove the transmission.

3. Disassemble the transmission to remove the coast clutch assembly only. Refer to workshop manual section 307-01.

4. Replace the coast clutch cylinder and coast one-way clutch (OWC) mechanical diode assembly.

5. Reassemble the transmission and install.
