• Unsticking Ford EVAP Canister

    Some 2015-2017 Ford Focus ST vehicles equipped with a 2.0L gasoline turbocharged direct injection (GTDI) engine and built on or before June 7, 2017 may exhibit a MIL on with DTCs P0456, P1450 and/or P144A.

    Some 2015-2017 Ford Focus ST vehicles equipped with a 2.0L gasoline turbocharged direct injection (GTDI) engine and built on or before June 7, 2017 may exhibit a MIL on with DTCs P0456, P1450 and/or P144A. This may be due to an intermittent sticking evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve.

    Replace the EVAP canister purge valve P/N BV6Z-9D289-E and reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration sing IDS release 105.02 or higher.
