This bulletin applies to 2016 Jeep Wrangler vehicles built on or after August 1, 2016, and on or before September 6, 2016, equipped with a 4:1 Rock-Trac HD part-time 4WD system transfer case and an automatic transmission.
The customer might experience red fluid weeping from under the vehicle. They may also describe transfer case noise while in four-wheel drive. The fix involves replacing the transfer case input gear and seal.

Caution: If the input gear cap plug is dislodged, out of position or loose, do not attempt to fix or reinstall the cap plug. Attempting to fix the cap plug will not correct the issue and will result in the issue reoccurring.
Remove the transfer case.
Replace the transfer case input gear and seal.
Install the transfer case.
