Some 2010-2020 Lexus GX 460 (KDSS-equipped) vehicles may exhibit a condition where the vehicle leans more than 20mm (0.79 inches) from left to right when viewed from the rear of the vehicle. The front left coil spring may need to be replaced.
Before beginning a repair, confirm that the vehicle’s suspension has not been modified and that the vehicle is in the original configuration. Perform the inspection on a level surface. Confirm that the tires are on the ground and facing straight ahead. Perform the inspection with the vehicle load completely on the suspension. The fuel tank should be full. Remove any parts/items in the vehicle that pace any unbalanced load on either side of the vehicle.
View the vehicle from the rear. If the vehicle leans to the right, measure the vehicle height difference from left to right. If the difference is more than 20mm (0.79 inches), replace the front left-hand coil spring assembly and install a new coil spring. The previous P/N is 48131-60K20. The new coil spring P/N is 48131-60F50.
