Restraint System Issue for Mitsubishi
This bulletin applies to 2013-2015 Mitsubishi Outlander vehicles. If diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) appear regarding the supplemental restraint system (SRS) — B1558, B1556, B1B8D, B1B8C, B1B8E — this indicates a short circuit in the harness. Check for harness damage under the driver’s seat slide position. If a damaged harness is found, do not replace the front seat adjuster or the SRS electronic control unit (ECU) for this condition. A replacement harness is available as P/N 6979A394.
