Reboot Needed for Mazda

March 4, 2022

This bulletin pertains to some 2012-2013 Mazda3 vehicles.

Some 2012-2013 Mazda3 vehicles may experience the malfunction indication light (MIL) on with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P013A (HO2S circuit slow response). This is caused by the improper control logic of the powertrain control module (PCM). To correct the problem, the control logic has been changed. Reboot the integrated dynamics system (IDS) to clear memory before reprogramming. Using IDS 88.04 or later software, reprogram the PCM.
