VW Touareg Crank Is Mysterious

A Volkswagen Touareg vehicle’s engine may not crank for no apparent reason. When the vehicle is unlocked using the key in the driver door handle and 15 seconds elapses without the ignition key being inserted into the ignition switch, the alarm will sound and the start signal will be prohibited.

A Volkswagen Touareg vehicle’s engine may not crank for no apparent reason. When the vehicle is unlocked by using the key in the driver door handle and 15 seconds elapses without the ignition key being inserted into the ignition switch, the alarm will sound and the start signal will be prohibited.

If this occurs, simply insert the key into the ignition switch and turn it counterclockwise in order to reset the system.
