Cleaning Mazda Exterior Sensors

SCBS (smart city brake support) warning light on in a 2016-1028 Mazda2, 2014-2018 Mazda3, 2014-2017 Mazda6, 2016-2018 CX-3, 2014-2018 CX-5 or 2016-2017 CX-9 vehicle? Chances are the exterior sensors are simply dirty.

Make sure the front grille emblem and windshield are clean.

Rain on the windshield exterior and/or fog on the inside of the windshield can also cause the SCBS light to illuminate.

Clean the windshield and front grille emblem. The light may also be on in rainy conditions if the windshield is fogged or If raining. Operate the wipers and turn on the defroster.
