Replacing Ford F-150 VCT Oil Control Solenoid

Some 2018 Ford F-150 trucks equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit a MIL on with DTC P0390 and/or P0394 in the PCM. If either/both of these codes are the only DTCs stored, replace the bank 2 exhaust variable camshaft timing (VCT) oil control solenoid.

Some 2018 Ford F-150 trucks equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit a MIL on with DTC P0390 and/or P0394 in the PCM. If either/both of these codes are the only DTCs stored, replace the back two exhaust variable camshaft timing (VCT) oil control solenoid.

The solenoid is available as P/N HL3Z-6M280-A. You will also need the left side valve cover gasket JL3Z-6584-D, valve cover spark plug seal HL3Z-6C535-A, VCT solenoid valve cover seal BR3Z-6C535-A and four strut tower brace nuts W712334-S440.
