Stopping Acura Transmission Shudder

This bulletin applies to 2014-2019 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid vehicles. The transmission may judder, shudder or surge while driving. The probable cause is transmission fluid that has deteriorated prematurely. 

This bulletin applies to 2014-2019 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid vehicles. The transmission may judder, shudder or surge while driving. The probable cause is transmission fluid that has deteriorated prematurely.

A software update is available to prevent ATF from deteriorating prematurely. Make sure that the DCT TMU software is up to date (i-HDS software version 1.004.060 or later) and replace the ATF, along with the transmission drain plug washer P/N 90471-PX4-000 and the STF fill sealing washer 94109-20000.
