Some 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid vehicles may exhibit a flutter/rattle noise during vehicle operation from the HV battery cooling fan. A new HV battery intake duct has been developed. The previous HV battery intake duct is P/N G92D1-42010. The improved duct is available as P/N G92D1-42020.

Using Techstream, active-test the hybrid cooling fan. Go to Engine/Hybrid System – Hybrid/battery Control System – “Hybrid/battery Control: Hybrid Control System (for AWD): Data List/Active Test.”

If a flutter/rattle noise is heard, replace the cooling duct with the new P/N.
