This bulletin applies to 2016 BMW 328i XDrive vehicles equipped with a 2.9L engine. The exhaust turbocharger oil return line may leak at the connection to the turbocharger.

The asbestos-free gasket may have been installed incorrectly, flipped with the bead raised toward the turbocharger.

Replace the oil return line, gasket and the 16 x 2 mm O-ring. Mount the gasket so that the bead faces the oil return line flange.
