This bulletin applies to 2015-2017 Jeep Renegade vehicles equipped with a 1.4L Multiair Turbo engine. The customer may describe a loss in vehicle performance and/or a MIL illuminated. The following DTCs will also be stored or active:

P0299-00........waste gate valve (signal compare failure)

P0236-00........ air leakage in turbocharger (signal compare failure)

Using a scan tool, verify that all engine systems are functioning as designed. Record and repair as needed before proceeding further. Replace the turbocharger assembly and clear any DTCs.
