This bulletin applies to 2009 Dodge Ram vehicles equipped with a Cummins 6.7L diesel engine (sales code ETJ) and built after Dec. 15, 2008, and to all 2009 6.7L with sales code ETJ.

The fuel filter supplied as original equipment is a new design. The new style filter incorporates a dual element filter within a reusable shell. When replacing the filter, rinse the shell with clean fuel.

Do NOT fill the shell with fuel prior to installation. Replacing the filter does not require replacing the filter shell. During routine maintenance service, use P/N 6806134AA element only. If the shell is damaged, use P/N 68061633AA (shell and filter).
