Vexing Vette

Some owners of 2016 Chevy Corvettes may comment that the red park brake light on the instrument panel intermittently illuminates. This may be due to the vehicle automatically applying the electronic parking brake (EPB) when the vehicle is not moving.

This is normal and is done periodically (every 50 key cycles) to check the correct operation of the EPB system.
