Jeep Won’t Light Up
Owners of a 2014 Jeep Compass or Patriot built on or after Feb. 4, 2012, and equipped with DRL (day time running headlamps) may comment that the DRL will not illuminate, and the technician may find no DTCs set.
The fix involves reflashing the BCM with software at release 13.04 or higher. Using a scan tool (wiTECH), verify that no DTCs are set.
If DTCs are present, record and repair as needed before reflashing.
