Hum/Buzz After Shutoff

Some 2013 Ford Escape vehicles equipped with a 1.6L or 2.0L engine with a build date of 7-20-2012 or earlier or equipped with a 2.5L engine with a build date of 9-20-2012 or earlier may exhibit a transmission solenoid hum/buzz noise for up to two minutes after the ignition is turned off.

Testing has confirmed that this noise will not affect reliability or long-term durability.

A new calibration is available to prevent this condition.

Reprogram the PCM to the latest calibration using IDS release 81.03 and higher.
